Planned Developments
IN DEVELOPMENT (for v0.4):
-
End-of-level stats table: An improvement to the current results screen, this table will include a list of every timed attempt at a level, the time of this attempt, whether the attempt ended by reaching the finish, resetting, or by dying, and the medal acquired, if any.
-
Main Menu: The current menu of the game has some simple instructions and controls (similar to flash games from LOOOOOOOOOOONG ago). I aim to make it a little more substantial, with a landing page, Settings, a Level Select, Credits, and a Quit button.
PLANNED FOR THE FUTURE:
-
Parallax scrolling background: Visuals are not my strongest suit, but if I can use programming to add some motion to my basic graphics, I'll take the opportunity!
-
More levels: One 15-45 second stage does not make for a complete game, so a priority for down the line is to add more stages. The end goal is 20 stages, which should make for decent playtime.
-
More mechanics: Buttons, Dashes, more ways to die than just spike pits, and so much more. I want to break the monotony of going from point A to point B and make the platforming and routing process of each stage all the more interesting.
-
Adaptive music: Did you get a medal? Congrats, the music gets a little more epic! Is the time almost up? The music gets more tense! That's another way to breathe life into the game and I want to get around to it!
